How can I make potato soup?

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/4 l milk
  • 1 litre water
  • A little butter
  • A few slices of bread, preferably old bread
  • Salt, nutmeg, curry or chili as desired

Preparation:

  • Cut the onion into small pieces and steam it in a little butter until glassy.
  • Add the peeled and diced potatoes and fill up with water and milk. 
  • Cook for about 15 minutes until soft, while cutting the bread into cubes and roasting in butter until crispy.

  • Season to taste with salt and spices, then add the bread cubes. Experiment with sunflower seeds or sesame seeds roasted briefly and dry in a pan. This goes very well with cream soups.
