Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis famous family owned restaurant, frequented by famous actors like Frank Sinatra back in the day, seems alittle tired. Torn upholstery on chairs, average bathrooms, and ok food make Pasty's only average. If you are looking for something special, keep looking.
Excellent food. Fancy but homey. Big portions. Bring an appetite! Photo is from the staircase but the rest of the restaurant is different.
I had dinner here recently. The food was delicious, good portions as well. Our waitress was really attentive and kind. I would definitely eat here again!
I wished we could have given the full 5 stars but the host almost had me walk out. Host makes a big difference in the dining experience. Host are key. They set the tone! Rainy day in NY and some of my bags were wet. I slightly had placed my eye glasses on the counter to put myself together and she addressed me that my glasses could not be placed on the counter. Didn't see the reason behind it…but anyways i was greeted immediately by our server, who had walked my daughter and mother to our table. The server very kind. We order Cesar salad and baked clams to start. It was good! Wasn't out of this world good but i enjoyed it. For dinner I order the eggplant parm which was rich in flavor. My daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs looked good. My mother order the chicken cacciatore pasta. It was great dinner after a long day of shopping.
It was a good experience. most for the ambience and the place that seems to be a more local experience or conoceurs. I was happy at the beginning with the service, but later the waiter just forget about us and had to chase them for any additional thing like the check, sinc ethey didn't offer us to check desserts. The drinks were really good, the food was ok, but I was really expecting more since I've had better Eggplant parmegiano at other places.
