The Spices - Calgary

Although it has closed down, I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was occasionally lacking, but the overall value made up for it.

I can't praise The Spices enough and highly recommend it to everyone.

This Indian restaurant is located in a humble strip mall and is truly delightful. The owners are incredibly kind and even gave us an extra appetizer and dessert without charging us.

Great lunch buffet. Simple but good food. Good variety, not spicy at all. Menu items look great too. Friendly owner. Really good naan bread too! Yum!

Have eaten in once and done take out once. Have not done the buffet. The level of spice in alll dishes is adjusted to your needs. It is marvelous home cooking. The chef prides himself in his samosas , I agree. The dish specialty is a chicken in a pepper sauce not like butter chicken, and certainly worth a try. In several different lamb dishes tried the portion of protein were excellent in size. The menu is very similar to other restaurants but effort to impress and desire to please are above average for Calgary.
