"Almost every bit as good as our previous visit almost two years ago. The greeting with a glass of bubbly was as good as ever. as was the young man who came around with a tray of various fish and who explained the options. The Black Pig Speciale was sooooo scrumptious - worth a visit for that alone. there were five adults and a five year old. Everyone (bar the five year old) truly delighted in the food and experience. Five year olds are a different species!The only criticism, and it's a small one, is that one dessert (hot chocolate and fruits for dipping into same) was very late in arriving and the waiter's apology for 'the tardiness' was less than expected of such an establishment. Nevertheless, 10 out of 10!!"

"My husband and I came across this fine restaurant while visiting the Farmers market in Loule. We had to wait until noon for it to open, and we were not disappointed. My husband had the Duck a' laranja and I had Mixed Seafood Linguine. Both...were excellent choices. The duck was boneless breast and the larange sauce was drizzled over the top with a side of extra sause in a fancy cut orange basket. My mixed seafood had fresh mussels, shrimp, prawn, teeny little clams (they were wonderful) and it was a garlic butter base. Just wonderful. Our waiter and the bar tender helped me to chose the perfect local wine. The restaurant was spotless as were the restrooms. I would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try, I guarantee you will not regret it."

"We arrived here and sat outside at lunchtime, we were the only ones there. Took ages for someone to come out and serve us, I put this down to them being short-staffed but as it turned out there were loads of staff standing around talking inside. The experience became worse when the food came out and was plonked unenthusiastically on our table. It was just pasta and ham we ordered for our son. It was just dry pasta with a few slices of processed ham on the side. I wouldn't dream of serving a meal that looked and tasted like this to guests in my house, let alone to paying customers in a restaurant. They should be embarrassed."
