"This is a small, cozy, very local spot where the young man who runs the front greets you with a welcoming smile and then devotes himself to insuring you enjoy everything served. The Gambas were perfectly prepared. The ham starter was delicious. Steaks excellent. Rose...wine really fine. It was lovely to sit off the beaten path and relax like a local. The room the night we were there was about locals to tourists. Recommend for a touch of comfortable authenticity."

"What a fantastic meal. We had sautéed shrimps followed by clams and the sauces were outstanding. This was followed by monkfish rice which was superb. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the waitress who served us spoke reasonable English. She also extremely enthusiastic and charming. Compared to English prices, the value for money was incredible. We are returning to Porto in September and, although it is a little way out, we will definitely go back. Probably in the top 3 dining experiences we had in 6 weeks we were in Spain and Portugal."

"Just wow. I am not one to write critikens, but this restaurant is the merit of all praise in the world. this family business is managed by a man and a woman and her care level is excellent. the man goes personally through an explanation of each menu item with them and offers overall great service. eating was also the best we cost in portugal! fresh, local a real Portuguese experience. when they come to porto, they must be here!"
