Habanero's Gastro Grill

We were walking in San Jose looking for a new place to eat and came across Habaneros. The food was amazing, the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. We decided to return the following night just for drinks and dessert and were not disappointed. Highly recommended restaurant!

Really lovely place. Fantastic food and very friendly staff. If you like tequila then they have all sorts there. The owner is has a certificate on the wall saying he's a master of Tequila.

We ate dinner at Habanero's twice during our week long stay. The service is friendly, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I had the Spicy Sushizza both times we were there. It is an appetizer, but very filling and I had as my dinner with a salad. Might be the best thing I've ever had! So good! My husband and daughter both had the Filet Mignon (without the wild mushroom demi) which they both really enjoyed. I would highly recommend going here.

We went to Haberneros based solely on the Trip Advisor ratings and the fact that we had a fantastic dinner the night before at a restaurant ranked one lower than this one. Outside of the service and the guacamole, we were sadly disappointed in our meal. We were a party of 4 and each ordered something different on the menu. Although the fajitas were fine, it came with very few shrimp and a TON of vegetables; the ribs, Filet Mignon and cheese cream filled chicken (can't remember the name, but tried it on suggestion of the waiter) were simply just OK. Considering what you pay here for this meal, I would suggest skipping this restaurant and choosing another in the same price range.
