We had a lobster with a ceasar salad for our last dinner in St. John's. The plate arrived with a cooked lobster on it and also the ceasar salad in the same plate; croutons were already soggy with the water from the lobster. Also, the server didn't bring a dish in which to put the shell of the lobster. After complaining, she brought us another ceasar salad in a separate bowl and also a bigger bowl for lobster shell. We were not too impressed. The lobster was very good and cooked to perfection; unfortunately, we remember the rest, like the soggy salad. That restaurant was recommended as a must on the Newfoundland touring guide from CAA; it should not be there.
We had a large number of family members home for a funeral and most were staying at the hotel so we decided to eat in the Restaurant, It was delicious , we had Calamari steaks, muscles, scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Even the Chef came out to say hello. Very nice touch
