Jo's Italian Deli - Vancouver

Jo’s Italian Deli is a cozy American Italian style sandwich and pasta shop that’s known for their affordable pricing. I came here because of the instagram video’s I’ve seen about them. My boyfriend and I both got the lunchbox combo I ordered the chicken pesto, while he got prosciutto, and we both got a caesar salad side. For $14, it’s a pretty good price.In terms of the taste, they were your average sandwiches. They’re very basic and nothing special, but I wasn’t sure what to expect for the price either. I would say I liked the general ambiance more than the food as I felt the chicken pesto had a generous piece of chicken, but could’ve had more flavour. The prosciutto was definitely more flavourful, but still very average. I do wish the bread would’ve been panini pressed it would’ve added a good crunch. While the caesar salad was pretty decent.Overall, I think the videos on instagram raised my expectations more than it should’ve, but it’s not a bad place if you’re looking for a cute sandwich shop in the area. I'm a big fan of the ambiance and the service is pretty quick. Their combo’s are well priced, especially for the area it’s located in and I could see it being a convenient quick bite for the road.

Decent food and great value! Casual place for a solo dinner. Go early if you want to get a seat : I only wish I had a microwave in my hotel because the portions were big.

Despite of acceptable food quality in comparison to the price, was really annoyed by the lady’s behaviour who was working on the counter. They offered my food with disposable fork while they were offering stainless still fork to other customers.

You will be very entertained listening to the cooks talking to themselves, half English, half Italian..always mad at something. PS the food is a very good
