"My family went to this restaurant on our family trip to Porto. With so many other restaurants to choose I would highly recommend not going to this restaurant. The service was poor. We were served bred which we assumed was complimentary as in many Portuguese...restaurants but we were charged for the bread. It was very dry, so I asked for some butter. We were then charged 3 times for a tiny scraping of butter. This seems very mean and as we were not told about these charges I spoke to the manager. He was rude and dismissive. Not a pleasant experience."

"Fresh, crispy fried sardines and chips with an accompanying arroz de tamate rice dish with a bottle of wine from the local vineyards. Small cup of good quality Italian style coffee to finish the meal with. Great service. Great views of the river. Best value...for money for a simple lunch. This restaurant seems to be popular with the local workers who kept arriving in their small groups throughout our time there. Always a good sign. We would definitely return again if we are lucky enough to the area."

"First proper meal in Porto. Waitress was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious! For only €20 we had a HUGE main dish each, water and fries. It was beautifully placed with great views of Porto from the street! Will definitely be going back!"

"Between our two port cellar tours, we needed some lunch. Along the river on the Nova de Gaia side of Porto, there are TONS of restaurants catering to tourists...keep walking... this is at the end of the main street (toward the bridge), and worth the...extra 3 minute walk. It's a little pricier than the others, but AGAIN...WORTH IT. We ordered codfish fritters which were the BEST we've had while here in Porto, followed by two steaks both were perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned (now that's a Christmas miracle) We had initially turned down the bread but after seeing the olive oil around my plate...I asked for it. Nothing on on our plates was an afterthought (potatoes, vegetables) and we finished with a lemon tart (yummy)."
