East Side Mario's - New Tecumseth

Out with my daughter and girlfriend for dinner and we were looking for a patio spot! We spied umbrellas and went in.The patio was cramped and completely covered for the sun which made me freeze!We ordered our meals and two of us had club wraps that did look delicious, but the fries and especially the gravy were apparently awful. I hat calamari which was chewy but good and spicy.The Italian soup and salad was just okay.Although polite the server couldn't make up for the lacklustre food. Sorry. We won't be back.

It was time to try something different at Mario's. I tried the Basa fillet and it was very tasty. The veggies were a bit too al dente for my liking but still tasty. I had the Italian wedding soup and it was ok. The salad and the bread was the usual fine taste The Creemore arrived a bit late (changing kegs I was told) it was just fine once it arrived. It was a very busy evening and were served in good time by Rebecca

Came in and stood like fools at the front for for five minutes, waiting to be seated. No dice. Nobody seemed to be working. saw a waitress once. She was busy and didn't acknowledge us. Finally we sat ourselves by the bar and found some menus. Wait. Someone says they'll be with us shortly. Wait some more. There's no bartender or anything. Finally we ask for waters. Eventually that happens and we ask a question about the menu. Waitress answers and leaves. Ten minutes later, we flag down another waitress and order food. Before we can order drinks, she's gone. Another five minutes before someone comes close enough for us to grab them and ask for drinks. She forgot, I guess, because this did not come. We asked yet another waitress what happened. She brought us drinks and didn't look at us as she put them on the table because she was talking to someone else. After almost an hour, food comes. What is it? I don't know. Not what I ordered, but I'm starving so after asking what it is, I decide to eat it anyway. I can't wait another hour for what I wanted. I feel sick at this point anyway. Got the bill now and waiting to pay. I guess they don't want my money any more than they want my patronage.Basically, I haven't been treated so badly at a restaurant since I was twelve and went with another twelve year old to cheesecake cafe without our parents.

Menu has a great variety of choices to eat. Food is always tasty. Good service. Great periodical promotions.

We stopped in for a late dinner and I took advantage of the half price starters after 9pm. :) Which I really like because I love that Boomer bread and there's no point in ordering it if loaves come with your entree. I also had Honey Garlic wings which were yummy
