Avaliação da contribuiçãoI had recommended this restaurant to my family, hoping to enjoy a nice weekend meal together. While the appetizers were delicious, the portion sizes were surprisingly small. After an excruciating two-hour wait, one dish—a steak—was overcooked, and a hair was found in the risotto. I also ordered the grilled octopus, but it arrived warm and not properly grilled, sitting in a pool of oil. When I tried to address my concerns with the staff, it took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. When she finally arrived, she seemed preoccupied, and I had to raise my hand just to get her attention. I genuinely wanted to provide some constructive feedback because I've enjoyed this restaurant before, but the owner's defensive response was disappointing. She insisted that a two-hour wait is normal and claimed our table was "broken off," which felt dismissive. My family was visiting from out of state, and we were trying to catch up at 10 PM on a Saturday night, which made it challenging to find another place willing to accommodate us. While the restaurant did remove one meal from our bill and offered us a bottle of sangria, I'm still not sure that compensates for the nearly $500 we spent. I wanted to share this experience to warn others that they should expect longer-than-usual wait times here. It’s disheartening how the owner treated me, and that interaction was the final straw. I plan to share this story on all platforms so that the public is aware of what to expect. Reading through previous comments, I wish I had done so before. There seems to be a troubling trend with long wait times and poor customer service that future guests may want to consider.
Wow, what a hidden gem! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere offered a stunning view, and the staff was wonderful. It was my first visit, and I will definitely be returning!
I stumbled upon this restaurant while driving through Bridgeport and decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad I did! The food was excellent and I would say it rivals many of the pricier spots in downtown Fairfield. The menu is extensive and offers a wide range of authentic Portuguese dishes. We ordered several items, including the Bulhao Clams (which were fantastic!), octopus salad, grilled quail, grilled Branzino, and Espetada with linguica. All of the dishes were well-prepared and delicious. There are many more items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I definitely plan to return. We dined outdoors, but the indoor space also looked quite appealing.
The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. The waitress was highly professional and did an excellent job. Everything was served promptly and hot.
Today, we enjoyed some appetizers and drinks. It was a hot day, so we dined on the terrace. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't too much of a problem. For our meal, we had the grilled calamari, which came with a lovely salad and cannellini beans. The salad was good, but I found the octopus to be overcooked and a bit too cheesy for my taste. Next, we had the cod cheeks, which were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Portuguese chorizo, which is usually served flaming, but we didn't get that dramatic presentation this time. However, it still tasted fantastic. Our fourth dish was the goat cheese with toast; I wasn't really a fan of it, but my friend wanted to try it, so she enjoyed it while I passed.
