Buddies Grill - Hammond

I heard about this restaurant from a friend who was very satisfied and would definitely recommend it. Our server was extremely helpful and did an amazing job. The food was delicious, especially the steak, which was cooked to perfection. The restaurant lived up to all the praise my friend gave it. It's definitely staying on my list!

I ordered my steak medium-well, but it was burnt and hard to cut. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she just offered me a takeout box. The sweet potato was mushy and inedible as well. After spending $55.00, I was still hungry because they don't serve bread with the meal. I will not be returning to this disappointing place. The food and service were both lacking!

The service was dreadful. There were no utensils on the table, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold. The potatoes were also cold, and the steaks were so excessively salty that they were inedible. This was my first and last visit. Very disappointing!

First and foremost, the online menu does not reflect the prices you find when you are seated. I ended up paying $44 more for two steaks. Additionally, the service was terrible; the waitress spilled food on my brother, and we had to ask for bread. To make matters worse, our drinks were delivered incorrectly not just once, but twice. I had ordered a medium-well steak, but what I received was rare, so I sent it back. When it returned, it was overcooked. This experience was very unprofessional. I would recommend going to Stabs in Baton Rouge instead.

The steaks here are excellent. My ribeye was among the best I’ve ever tasted—tender, well-seasoned, and nicely trimmed with fat. The only issue I faced was that the restaurant didn’t have my reservation from OpenTable. I showed the confirmation email and text message on my phone to the receptionist, who mentioned they often have issues with OpenTable reservations. Fortunately, it wasn't a major inconvenience for us; we only had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes. However, it does seem like this is something they should look into and resolve.
