It was crowded when we got there which is typical on a Saturday night, but our waitress was too busy waiting on other people to show us any attention. We got more attention from the hostess our French onion soup was very hot, but my husband sandwich was not very good. Pastrami was very fatty ,for what we had price was high.
Don't be put off that this is a pub. Fantastic food. Delicious drinks. Great service. Mystic has a great dining scene. I had a col lobster roll seasoned with Old Bay fries. Husband had a warm lobster roll fries. Our friend had seared sesame crusted tuna served rare with soy rice with stir-fried vegetables topped with seaweed salad wasabi aioli. It was enough for two servings. Our friend happily enjoyed the leftovers the next day.
My family and I just went here while on vacation and everything was top-notch. The food for both adults and kids was excellent and the waitress was very prompt and patient with our kids. The build-your-own-chicken sandwich option worked out well for me, and my wife loved both her salad and her margarita. Highly recommended overall.
Our server was great, friendly and attentive. The food was OK on its own terms, but not exactly as advertised — we expected more vegetables with the yellowfin tuna and a wasabi presence that was non-existent. The atmosphere was a bit honky-tonk, not awful, but careless customers left appallingly large amounts of liquid on both restroom floors. Finally, it seems impossible to get a meal out in Mystic without 100-decibel serenades from Billy Joel, Michael McDonald and 10cc.
Lobster roll was amazing! Fries crispy. Prompt service.
