Doogie's Hot Dogs - Newington

Famous place to get hot dogs with good prices. It has this old school vibe from the 50s, which adds to the culinary experience. There is also a point card system.

Once you are about the size of the 24 man against food dog it is quite delicious plus the staff was great.

We stopped here on Sunday, place was full! Great to see. We ordered 2, 10 chili dogs, onion rings and a whole belly mussel dinner. Everything was delicious! Your chili sauce was perfect, not spicy at all, and this is our preference! Clams were light and crispy, so good! Large staff

If you want to eat comfort, Doogies is quite solid. The fish plates are good. Clam strips really solid. The hot dogs are excellent. Only an FYI if you get the 2' hot dog, it's NOT on a hot dog bunker... on something similar to a French baguette. Much better to get 2 10 dogs because the rolls are baked and roasted to perfection.

Nothing fancy, but everything is fresh. Great fried clams, cod and clam chowder! Crab cakes were good, too! All at a comparatively reasonable price. Best known for hot dogs and they looked delish, but we didn't try them ...we were there for fresh seafood ...and we got it!
