Avaliação da contribuiçãoBrunch was CRAZY DELICIOUS!!!! Best food we had on a 2 week vacation across the state of Maine.
Menu offerings were uniquely different. Service is knowledgeable and attentive but not overbearing.
Easily, the best OpenTable find I've ever made. Phenomenal service, phenomenal food, excellent and stylish location. The chef clearly loves his work, and it was evident in his every action- he really took take to make sure your meal was perfect! A separate thank you to the wait staff; our server was incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. Just lovely, indeed! My parents are super picky (read: snobbish) about restaurants, and they left the place raving about how much they had enjoyed everything!
We do not get to Portland as often as we like, and definitely have our favorites; however, we heard about Bolster Snow Company and were excited to try a new place. We chose to sit at the bar with direct view to very small but efficient kitchen. We went early which was a treat, as Executive Chef Verdisco and team were congenial and shared with us their experience, training, and influences for the menu. We started with the oysters and shrimp which were so fresh and delicious we ordered. We moved on to the fried olives with harissa and a lovely field green salad, with beets and goat cheese, which I would recommend as they were prepared perfectly and very flavorful For our final selections we had the Duck and Papparedele. The duck was perfectly prepared and generous in portion. The Peach and Apricot were a nice surprise and paired beautifully. The Papparedele was so delicious and we could taste the freshness of being made in house. The Lamb Sausage was so delicious; we savored every last bite and left us wanting more. The presentation of the food and selection of wine was impressive, the service impeccable, and restoration of the space and history makes for an inviting and comfortable experience. We will be back
The waiter was very good at explaining the menu options and attentive. We were seated in the back room which makes ambiance and felt very claustrophobic. My fiancé and ordered fried olives and the asparagus appetizer. They both had the taste and presentation of a chain restaurant. For our entrees, we both ordered the Hake. Although the fish was very fresh, it lacked flavor such as some time of emulation to give it flavor. The accompanying peas were fresh, yet added to the bland taste of the entire entree. We eat out weekly at other venues such as Union , Walters, Hugo’s, and Boda. This experience fell short of their creativity.
