This restaurant is not as good as I remembered. I used to enjoy the meals here in the past, but it seems like it is under new management now. The menu is the same, but the food quality has definitely declined. Sadly, the food we ordered was not pleasant and left us feeling unwell the next day. The dishes seemed to be lacking in flavor and quality. I remember a dish called Marie-Mont-Starter that used to be delicious, but now the shrimp seemed small and bland. It's a shame that the food did not live up to my expectations.
The service was poor and the food was average. I started with stuffed mushrooms, which were good but overpriced. My partner had garlic bread, which seemed to be just a store-bought pizza base and didn't taste homemade. My main course, chicken Diane, had overcooked meat, a watery sauce, frozen fries, and a small side salad, not worth the £15 price tag. The service was lacking, as empty jars were taken from our table without us asking for refills. Overall, this restaurant may be okay for a drunken meal, but otherwise, it falls short.
I was disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. I had been here a few years ago and had a good experience, but this time was not the same. We arrived early, around 7:30pm on a Saturday, and while the appetizers were good, the main dishes that my friend and I ordered were not enjoyable. We had to send them back to the kitchen and ended up ordering something else, which was just okay. The atmosphere was also affected by a loud and rowdy group celebrating a birthday who seemed to have come straight from the nearby pub. Despite the kind apology from the manager and the reduced bill, we couldn't wait to leave. It may be a while before I give this place another try.
We have just returned from a meal for our year old Daughter’s birthday. From booking the table to leaving the restaurant we’ve had outstanding service. We increased our numbers had special dietary requests , both were sorted with no fuss at all. The...food was amazing, we had the fire pit special ,there was plenty of food high quality. There was a little wait between the starter the main course but we were a large party the child’s meal was brought out so he was fine we were able to enjoy the atmosphere- the food was definitely well worth the wait. Laura was particularly attentive really took care of us all, adding a lovely personalised touch to the evening. Would highly recommend to anyone we can’t wait to return.
