Avaliação da contribuiçãoDue to an accident on the highway, we had to take the local road and stopped by at Rokka Chaya for lunch. Although there were no famous dishes, I wanted to try something unique to the region at an affordable price. I was also tempted to try the clam soup at the neighboring shop, but I remembered missing out on dangosoup when I was in Kyushu before, so I ordered the set with delicious chicken tempura and soba noodles. Surprisingly, it came with a tofu buffet, offering a variety of tofu to try. It seems like it's going to be a great trip. Now, the dangosoup that I often heard about in Kyushu turned out to be a miso soup that my mother used to make with flour when there were no ingredients. Sometimes she would make it with extra flour, sprinkle sugar on top, and have it as a snack. I couldn't help but smile at the memory of my mother as I enjoyed the dish.
Had lunch at a food stall village. At "Oshokuji-dokoro Acchantei," the restaurant we were originally planning to go to was closed, so we were looking at menus here and there and found a coin set meal for 500 yen, so we ordered it. For only 500 yen, we got a pork cutlet set meal and a white fish fry set meal, with miso soup and rice refill included! Amazing! We waited for a while. When the set meal was ready, a machine that was handed to us made a beeping sound. Despite being only 500 yen, there was a generous portion. The fried food was frozen, but the miso soup was delicious. The first serving was lukewarm, but the refill was piping hot. They must have prepared it earlier and set it aside. For dessert, we got a mandarin orange! There is cold and warm barley tea in front of the store, but the warm tea is quite lukewarm. It was a satisfying set meal for 500 yen. The effort put in by the establishment is amazing. After the meal, we did some shopping at the roadside station. Our target was single grain oysters. 25-30 pieces for only 1000 yen! It's incredibly cheap! We each got a pack of grilled and steamed oysters.
"I had 3 bento boxes and 2 packs of sweet potato manju. It was delicious. Bento boxes, local specialties, and vegetables are also sold. The service is courteous. [Contents:] Chicken nanban bento, miso chicken cutlet bento, deluxe bento, sweet potato manju x2."
