Avaliação da contribuiçãoThere were various dishes available despite the small size of the restaurant. There is also a bank ATM available.
Whenever I pass by here, I always make a stop. There is a large food court with plenty of seating which makes it very comfortable. There are famous restaurants like Curry House CoCo Ichibanya and Chanpon Tei, as well as a Gyoza no Osho store outdoors. In addition, there is a Starbucks and a specialty shop for Omi beef. This service area is always crowded with customers and is popular regardless of the time of day. Taga Service Area, which opened in 1964, is the oldest service area on the Meishin Expressway. The facilities on the northbound and southbound sides are connected by a pedestrian bridge that spans the main line, allowing for mutual use. The "Rest-In Taga", which opened in 1984, is a unique service area that offers accommodation and bathing facilities and is well-known in the area. While I believe that Awaji Service Area is the best in the Kansai region, the second best might be Takarazuka Kita Service Area on the new Meishin Expressway. However, looking at it comprehensively, Taga Service Area might actually be the best. Without the observation deck with a view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the ferris wheel, Awaji Service Area might not even be in the top rankings.
The restaurant is spacious and houses various stores. There is an Osho restaurant and a well-equipped food court, making it a fun place to visit. The premises are large, so the restrooms may be a bit far away, but there are toilets on both sides of the service information next to the food court, although the number is limited. There are also nursing corners and children's toilets, making it convenient. Of course, the regular toilets are also very spacious and clean. Lately, there is a shop offering free samples of Aichi's shrimp crackers, which is enjoyable for people of all ages. I ended up buying a lot. The SA on the way up connects via a footbridge, making it accessible on foot. The view from here is also great for those who enjoy highways. In the rest area, there is even an Ichiban Steak for a quick bite. It might be worth a stop at Taga SA even if it's out of the way.
