Avaliação da contribuiçãoIn the heart of Aachen, just a stones throw from the town hall and Christmas markets we ate at Hexenhof. Most of the folks were outside in the tent enjoying the Christmas market, we decided to have a sit down meal inside where it was...a little quieter. The interior is nice and clean. We found the wait staff to be very helpful. We ordered the Aachener Potato Soup with sausage (this came in a brown bread bowl); schnitzel with potatoes and mushrooms; and the sauerbraten with potatoes. The food was excellant and affordable for these great meals. The universal question is: is it good enough to eat there again? Yes, we ate there the previous year and if we return to Aachen, would eat there again!
I made a stop for a Glühwein (hot spicy vine). The vine has been very tasty. Therefore I returned later for a second one. They also offered food outside. It was very croudy. However, à very nice atmosphere and the service has been friendly and...fast.
Nice place on the corner of streets, great terrace in front with unique seating system to overcome the height difference. Quality of food good and service was also very good.
I was there during a business trip and we enjoyed the nice weather and the possibility to stay outside. The tables and bench are well prepared to be on the hanging ground, which makes it comfortable for dinner. Food is very good, you have many...options to order real traditional or international food is served. Service is very friendly and fast as well. I really recommend this restaurant for having dinner.
We bumped into this restaurant with typical German food: Bratkartoffeln, Schnitzels usw. After we made our order we got a complimentary platter, bread and olives. We tried Aachener Kartoffelpfanne and Schnitzel Champignon and also after dinner we received a free dessert, i think it was...chocolate mousse. Staff was friendly and attentive, we were being noticed. Shame there were few visitors, maybe too early to dine for most people.
