Cafe Munsterlandchen - Aachen

Great place for lunch or tea with something to eat with it, their pies (torte) are very nice. It's self-service and you can only pay with cash (at least for us this was the case).

This quaint village just outside of Aachen has great cafes for a nice stop after a walk around the old town. We stopped here for brunch and had a plate filled with eggs ham and cheese accompanied by a decent coffee. Prices are good for the amount of food you get with excellent service with a smile. It's cash only so be prepared.

Soups, sandwiches, cakes... a kind of a british pub in Eifel-style, it is one of our favourite places to be since quite a few years. We combine it with a walk in the Woods around, a visit to the monumental abbey and not to forget the old Roman sanctuary up-hill with a wide panoramic view on the Eifel hills... a spectacular excavation all close to this nice pub. The menu changes regularly, which is one its strengths. Other strenghts: atmosphese, price/quality ration and excellent service from nice staff... in short a nice place to be. Also many locals prefer this place!
