Barbarroja - Acapulco de Juárez

Needed a restaurant with a view and found this jewel. Not tasty, overpriced or ostentatious...only good food, great service and a wonderful view of the bay

The customer service at the tables is unprecedented (never seen or elsewhere) but the place is dangerous: floors fall apart (although you have fallen through and hurt your leg) and the bathroom stairs are extreme sports... if they are not sprayed with a hose... and a lake awaits you on the floor. Used to be the best place in Acapulco, too bad the owner no longer invests a peso or two.

After a dinner with great food, wine and excellent service, I decided to spend New Year's Eve there. Again, the service was great and drinks well, but the food wasn't as good as the night before, but there were a lot of people eating so... I wasn't surprised. And it was great. When I return to Acapulco, I'll go back to Barbarroja.

The ambiance is great, decorations are super nice, some of them looks like live Pirates...The staff were very nice and funny. We went there BEFORE going out for diner...it was only 7pm so the place was pretty empty. Good Margaritas, and we ordered the Guacomole,...as our appetizer, which was one of the best we ate in Acapulco... it was delicious... We only stayed an hour or so.... On our way back from diner, (around 11pm) we passed in front of Barbarroja and the place was full with dancers etc... looks like a lot of fun !

If you want to have a few drinks at a place with style and a bit of fun, maybe sit with a good view of the bay, this is the best spot I've found. If you're looking for food other than standard pub fare, go...elsewhere for that and come here afterwards for the view.
