Avaliação da contribuiçãoLe Riad has great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food to match but they need more people on the floor! Even though there only appeared to be one person in the kitchen we didn't wait for meals (and we were a large group). The dips were generous and delicious - but took us so long to get through them because we kept having to find someone to order extra bread. The tajines were all delicious and well cooked, the side salads were really tasty and the vegetable couscous that we ordered as a side was great as well. There was a belly dancer on Saturday night which was good entertainment. If we hadn't have had to work so hard to get drinks / floor staff attention this would definitely have been a 5.
I really enjoyed my meal here. We had the sweet lamb tagine and a rustic mixed grill which were both great - not fancy by any measure but definitely tasty. The restaurant setting is a little dark, but has a unpretentious and eclectic style which gives you plenty to look at. Just as well as the food can take a little while to come out. Bring good conversation and be patient - it's worth the wait.
Took away something for a quick dinner the other night. I went with the falafels with hummus and a special Moroccan salad. The salad was doused in an oily dressing, which was a bit annoying, but it was well spiced and had a lovely flavour to it. I just wish they served it with the dressing on the side so I could control how much I put in. The falafels were heavily deep fried, so they had a thick, very crunchy exterior which I wasn't used to. Nonetheless, they still tasted great, especially eaten with the hummus.
A group 8 of us booked into Le Riad and all had an excellent evening. Michael took our orders, he was charming and friendly, he described the dishes very well and stopped us when he thought we were over-ordering. Our Vegetarian friend was well catered for as well. The entrée of mixed dips had a tasty selection of goat cheese, hoummus, roast capsicum, zucchini & eggplant dips with plenty of pita pieces. The main courses were a mixture of lamb tagine, chicken tagine, mixed grill & cous cous (with vegetables & lamb). Everything received solid approval for taste, quality & quantity from everyone. Le Riad is highly recommended for good value, tasty food in a great setting
Love love love their food! Everything is so tasty!! We tried beef tagine, chicken tagine, Lamb Magwiya (I think that's how it's spelt :/) eggplant dip and Moroccan style soup. Definitely recommend this hidden Moroccan gem in CBD
