Enjoyed a fantastic week at the Bellevue this August September. The hotel has great facilities with an indoor and outdoor pool and spa, very clean and were never too busy. They also put various free classes on which we tried the yoga and pilates (Gerty was a very patient and friendly instructor). We went for a room with a southerly view, which is well worth the extra cost as you see across and up the valley which is a spectacular outlook.
The bar has the same quality as a pub. The bartender surely is just a normal waiter with no additional barskills. Drinks are watery, standardized drinks have diffenterent amounts of liquid in it, the ingredients are not top quality what you would expect for this price. There is no side snack except some discount nuts. Overall we are disappointed with what you pay and what you get.
The food was quite good, but overpriced. We also thought that the presentation was trying to hard as well and usually came across as rather pretentious. However, the selection of bread was excellent and there was a good variety of food on display for your breakfast and a good menu to choose from for your dinner, so not bad actually, just a bit pricy!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary. The Place is perfect. There was life piano music which we liked. We had trouble reading the menu low light without glasses. Especially the winecard was very small printed. No pair of glasses available tip for the hotel). Our servant lady was a bit unexperienced. The Buffet with tappaz starters) did not fit so well to the rest of the meal we had chosen.
