Whiskey Alley - Aiken

The menu has a VG code for vegan. none of the menu items is actually marked with wg. they carry the beyond meat burger, but even if it is not marked with wg (not sure why.) they no longer wear the vegan cheese plate. it would be nice to see more vegan options on the menu, or at least options beside salads that could be made vegan. the beet salad I had that they made vegan was okay. I had much better. on the plus side the waitress was really nice.

The rear terrace seat was beautiful and had also a few swings, which was a big roll for us with an autistic youth. the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. that is where they shine. there is a small handful of vegan options on the menu and we ended up with a vegan cheese plate, the beyond burger and a beet salad. all were fantastic. I had the burger 's rival before (the impossible) and thought it tasted like cafeteria eating, so I was comprehending to try that beyond. the beyond burger was perfect and I added the spicy cheese from the cheese plate. the burger comes with a 'bistro salad' and it was spring green, assorted tomaten, gurke and knock. we visited family in the opposite of outside the staates and whiskey alley was every 's favorite meal in this week.

The drinks and Fois Gras appetizer were delicious! The ducks were less than. I ordered Snapper w/risotto, which was like glue, and the fish was over boiled to my pleasure. My guilt is really rarely well made Risotto. Spouse ordered the Beef Stroganoff, who was very blanching and the “ribeye” steak was so chewing that he could not eat it. It looked delicious, it was just not. That said the place was busy and wait 45 minutes if no reservation. Many people welcomed us so that we could accept locals. I think this is a case where we just ordered wrong. We would give him another way if in the area.

The food was very good. It was the Mother's Day and the restaurant DID NOT have our reservation and was unable to put us inside. The only table left was a fireplace table in the courtyard. We made the best of it, but you need to check with this device because they could not find it in their system even after the email and text confirmation.

The best place in town. Loves the selection of dishes and wine.
