Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis place was absolutely lovely and the food was so delicious! Had it not been for Google maps I wouldn't have found it... I had to walk through an alley that looked like it led to nowhere. The people were so nice - they explained the whole menu in English. They have a menu for each day, and the dishes had wonderful fresh ingredients and were also creative and plated beautifully. I had a sardine and heirloom tomato salad that was phenomenal. I don't love sardines but I wanted to branch out and I'm glad I did. I also had the duck. It was a lot of food plus a glass of local rose, all for 40 Euros.
Went there for two night during out stay. The food - vegetarian and fish - was delightful. Higly recommended
When in Aix-en-Provence try and find this Nice place (you have to look for it, but trust me it's good). My wife had the fish and I had the vegetarian plate. This was the bedt vegetarian plate on our trip so fare and the fish plate was big and tasty.
We took the vegetarian plate, made out of several mezze like portions. We had lentils seasoned with rosemary, beetroot with pine nuts, herbes de Provence hummus, balsamic vinegar salad, green tiny gazpacho, a half succulent baked sweet potatoe and a tartine de fromage for the gluten option, which was replaced by a half tomato for the gluten free version (...). I thought it would not be enough because everything was on the same plate but it was a lot. Delicious, subtle, refined and beautiful presentations. The plate wad 16 euros, so 32 euros for two. We took also, a bottle of San Pellegrino (5 euros: expensive) and a carafe of rosé, the fruity one, for 11 euros, very good but not cheap. We did not take appetizers, cocktails, desserts or coffee. The bill was 48 euros. It was fresh, refined, well done and very very very good. They are in a funny place, therefore the name, you need to reserve.
My Husband and I enjoyed 2 fantastic lunches in this restaurant. Had we known about it's quality, we would have gone there for every meal while in Aix.It is located in an alley in the old part of the city (which we could not find on any of our local maps). However, if you put some work into finding it, you will be well rewarded with the quality and freshness of the food. Also, be sure to book a reservation for lunch and dinner. It is a favorite with locals and serves very authentic French food which is fresh and well prepared and presented. The owners are extremely attentive and engaging which adds to the atmosphere of this small eclectically furnished restaurant. Prices are very reasonable for this kind of quality.
