Dal Gladiatore - Aix-en-Provence

My husband and I came here for dinner in hopes of having some delicious pasta. I ordered the truffle ravioli and my husband ordered the bucatini in the melted cheese wheel with grappa. Both were outstanding. Service was friendly and very attentive. We definitely recommend Del Gladiatore!

After giving up finding a non-touristy, reasonably-priced restaurant in the Place Forum des Cardeurs, we wandered down rue de Verrerie and found Dal Gladiatore. My spouse and I shared a margherita with mushrooms and caeser salad (with chicken), and I had a cup of tea (nursing a sore throat that day). The total was 31.40€...a very nice price for Aix, I thought.

The pizze are fantastic: especially the dough, but also with fresh ingredients. Friendly service. Space upstairs and in the basement (vaulted ceilings). Various pasta and meat as well.

We spent a very nice evening in the Dal Gladiatore. The pizza ist delicious and the price, for French standards, is a good deal. The staff (father and son) was very kind and we had a nice chit-chat! Muchas gracias por todo y saludos de México!

Good ideas for dishes but bad execution. We have ordered two dishes both of them had pasta and in both cases it was way over cooked. Basil pesto had too much garlic, after I had all evening taste of garlic in my mouth. Not nice interior and dampness. Not fresh and not testy at all bread. Reasonable prices for this size of dishes.
