V&r Fine Italian Cuisine - Albany

Very good Italian restaurant. The service and food were as good or better than any Italian place I've tried in Albany. Definitely worth trying and I plan on returning.

Food is wonderful, and Service is always done with smile

My stomach said that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Albany. I’m not Italian but I’m from the Bronx, and my mom love love love going to little Italy in the Bronx. Hands-down the greatest I know there are others but for me the greatest place to eat Italian authentic but you’re in Albany and V&R one of my favorites!

I thought the wait staff were friendly. The food was good, but didn 't blow my socks off. We visited during restaurant week and got to sample a couple of options. The chicken parm was decent and the shrimp fradiavolo had good flavor but looked very homey. I do give them props for having a very yummy cannoli. They were tiny and I left craving just a bit more.

The decor was a bit out dated. It was last minute decision to eat here as the restuarant of choice was crowded. The watress was pleasant but on a friday at 8pm, us being the only 2 customers should have told me something. I ordered shrimp scampi.. i expected what's in the picture below(i googled), What i got was a plate of pasta and shrimps. No garnishments.. nothing. I was very disappointed.
