Brick Mortar Cafe - Albany

We had planned to gather to celebrate our mother's birthday while everyone was in town after the Thanksgiving holiday. We had previously visited this restaurant for Mother's Day and experienced a very long wait for a table. I was glad to see an option for open table reservations when I searched for the restaurant on Google. I made a reservation and informed everyone that we would not have to wait long this time. However, some of our group arrived early, only to be told by the staff that they do not accept reservations, especially on busy weekends. The rest of us arrived at our reservation time to find our table already seated. I mentioned to the staff that we had a reservation and recommended that they address the issue on Google. They seemed unaware that this was a possibility, so I demonstrated how easy it was to make a reservation online. Despite this, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I would advise others to arrive early if they want to secure a table without a long wait.

Brick Mortar is absolutely THE best place to go for brunch in the area (and yes, I am including Corvallis in the area). The food is incredibly delicious, generously portioned, and there is something to satisfy anyone's desires, whether it be sweet or savory. The Rose Chai is hands down some of the best Chai I've ever had, including trips to India itself, and do not pass on the mortar sauce if you enjoy decadent, meaty toppings (that will by itself triple the calorie count but it is so, so worth it). The people are also amazingly wonderful and friendly, big shout out to Monica who is the most wonderful human being and makes every visit an absolute delight!

First time at this restaurant we only had to wait a few minutes and we're seated upstairs. our waitress, Julieanna was very efficient and nice. Parking: Half a block across the street was a huge free parking lot. We were here on a Sunday. We had our pickup and camp trailer so we're happy to see this large lot.

Been here a few times and it is always great. Vegetarian options: Many option for veg. They ate happy to modify any dish as well.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, and incredible service. Highly recommend.
