Avaliação da contribuiçãoI took my two children, aged 13 and 10, to Holmes restaurant where we experienced a strange incident. A woman's voice came over the loudspeaker, possibly a rehearsal for a song, which made my son uncomfortable. Additionally, our “divine” machines kept taking my children's quarters multiple times. The manager only returned the quarters once, and was extremely rude about the vintage games. It was odd that a restaurant labeled as an arcade would be so hostile towards people interacting with the equipment. Despite having mostly positive reviews, the place was empty 70% of the time with little foot traffic. It was a strange experience overall.
Located just 0.2 miles from the Amtrak Albuquerque train station, this restaurant offers quick service and a friendly staff. The arcade had a variety of classic games, and I enjoyed playing Galaga while waiting for my meal. The food was delicious, especially the custom calzone I ordered with cheese, pepperoni, and green peppers. Overall, a great experience!
The restaurant has around 20 pinball machines as well as other arcade games. The pizza is fantastic and the atmosphere is lively!
The vegan pizza at this place is truly delicious. The cheese really tastes and feels like the real deal, and the vegan pepperoni has great flavor and texture as well. Also, this last time, we got the garlic bread knots, which were absolutely fantastic as well!No idea what the normal pizza tastes like, but I highly recommend this place for vegans looking for pizza with a lot of options!!!
So let me start off saying I love Holmes. They have some of the best pizza in town and so many vegan options. But the staff certainly could use some work. Last night first of all one of our pizzas I am pretty sure they forgot to make until we asked (along with the paid sides of vegan ranch) and didn’t even apologize. They said “it’s in the works” or something to that effect. Secondly I went to pay my tab (double checked my receipt) and ordered two more Lavender Ciders. I went back to the counter to tell them (and apologized) I think they poured me the wrong drink. After arguing with me and literally telling me I need to be more careful ordering because the ciders are expensive (I checked my tab, 3 ciders and 1 Cereveza). After that they still poured me another non lavender cider I’m pretty sure out of spite. I’ve never felt so insulted when I was politely asking for what I ordered especially after just dropping almost $100 at our table. Holmes do better. Your customers are your lifeline and if something is wrong fix it without attitude. Maybe quit hiring rude hipster kids that think the world revolves around them? Just sayin…
