Good pizza. rest could talk. beautiful environment. good gluten-free options.
The experience was not great for silvester because the situation was closed by 21 o'clock, and our reservation was for 8/8:15ish. the waitress had informed us that the restaurant would be closed at 9 o'clock. we should order now because the kitchen is closed. then we have our food at 8:40/8:45. then the team decided to turn off all music at the place and turn the lights as bright as possible. essentially to tell customers, they have to hurry, eat and get out. this action would be good if it were a bar to say 2 o'clock, a buck of drunken people to go home. this is however a restaurant in alexandria around 21 o'clock on silvester! even if we have booked bookings on open table, there were reservations for much later time slots that indicates that the restaurant does not close by 21 o'clock. I understand that it might have been a business deal to close all the stands. the better step, however, would have been to keep the music/atmosphere and not to sit differently.
Came here on a Saturday evening for a lovely date night! Ambience: At capacity and energetic (they were playing some fun 2000s tunes pretty loudly , but our table was all the way at the back of the restaurant. The overall volume ended up being lively but not overbearing for us. Drinks: Nice wine selection, but maybe the price/pour ratio could improve a bit. Really interesting 007 martini that uses both gin and vodka, and a hot toddy with spiced honey is a great starter for cold nights. The frozen pre made pomegranate margarita is yummy and just strong enough, but it seems overpriced it costs the same as complicated mixed drinks that need to be made to order. Usually bars will price premade drinks a little cheaper since they save time. Food: Pizza and a few apps were delicious! We've enjoyed the roasted cauliflower before, but this time it had more of the flavorful banana peppers, pine nuts, etc. The gluten free baked ziti is SPICY so watch out if you have a low or even moderate tolerance for spice (those are NOT marinara blobs on top! . My partner loved the brussels sprouts salad and has been fantasizing about it since. We really appreciate the gluten free/vegan options for pizza, but see note below on service. Service: Our server was friendly and professional, but unfortunately they can't seem to get our pizza the way we want it. This is the second time we requested light vegan cheese and extra sauce but seemed to get the opposite. We love the option for vegan cheese, but a little goes a long way. We still liked it, and we'll just try again when we come back (and we'll definitely be back! .
Food took over 45 minutes to come out, then we had to send the pizza back because the meat was undercooked. The staff was friendly; however we were not able to enjoy our dinner in the restaurant due to the long wait.
