De Tapas La Eskina - Algeciras

We had a few hour layover at the bus station and decided to pop into Bar La Eskina for a snack/drink it's a 5 10 minute walk from the bus station. Located in a pretty square called Plaza Alta where Nuestra Sra de la Palma Church is (photo). We had the smoked white sardines tapas (sardinias alhumada) and they were amazing!!!

Great variety real Spanish at its best. . Not flashy just.a pub with real food, no frills, hard chairs and always footy on the telly . Mixed fish fry €12 is a real belly buster, try the albarino wine with it.

It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy some tapas and a glass of wine. The food was good and service was prompt and friendly
