Avaliação da contribuiçãoAt the end of a long week, we can always rely on the warmth and comfort of Kaju’s wonderful tofu soup. The service is always polite, friendly, and quick. Even the other items such as the BBQ and tteokbokki are delicious! They make their own kimchi, which is evident in its quality and taste. They also care about the community and contribute to charity, and the owner is awesome. An absolute must try!
Kaju is one of my favorite tofu soup restaurants in the entire Boston area, and its popular for good reason. There isn't much room for a waiting area, as nearly the entire restaurant is dedicated to tables and booths for dining. The staff were quick and efficient at getting orders fulfilled and seating though. I'd recommend only parties up to 6 people if you are dining in, as larger parties may not be able to get seating for a while. The food was also of good quality. The Banchan is delicious, with the kimchi having a little sweet but good taste that isn't similar to HMart at all. I typically get the Beef Intestine Tofu Soup, which is cleaned well and boiled nicely, with the egg being a great addition to the soup. The rice is soft, with a nice texture that is hard to replicate in large batches. Overall a great place for a casual dinner or to take home and eat.
We were seated quickly, though the small space can get busy. They're famous for their variety of tofu soups—seafood, beef, vegetarian—with customizable spice levels. My boyfriend and I tried the kimchi and beef; one of us ordered a combo plate, which lets you choose a tofu soup and a KBBQ plate. We went with the galbi, and it was perfect. The service was fast and friendly, and the meal was delicious!
Love the cheese topokki and tofu soup! You wouldn't believe how great beef and tofu soup could be, I am converted! Prices are also slightly cheaper than competitors. Will be returning!
Sundubu Jjigae is worth the wait. Good amount of favor and kick. Very balanced flavor. Small space so it is cram but if you go earlier during the day. Not too many people.
