Samurai Sushi - Almaty

Delicious sushi plus affordable prices always full of people WAITING in line! Even their delivery service is fine. Absolutely love this restaurant chain.

Very satisfied with this place. Big portions and tasty. Never quit hangry. Its possible to order at home or office. Nice personnel, pleasant atmosphere.

I’m still baffled at how this place has a decent rating. The interior and decor alone should have been the give away, we decided to try it anyway. The one server that spoke English was very nice and polite. Most of the wines we wanted were unavailable. (Not surprised as this is typical here). The soups we ordered were mediocre. Now for the sushi: we had a really difficult time finding anything without cream cheese. The nigiri were the size of gold balls with lukewarm, sticky rice and thickly cut fish. It took a minimum of 3 bites to get one down, and we had to chew through the fish. The rolls weren’t any better. We ordered 3 with a variety of styles from raw to cooked. Nothing tasted spoiled, but I can easily say I’ve had better sushi from the refrigerated cases at a gas station. After eating less than half of what we ordered, we gave up and left. This place is a definite no-go! Good thing Dostyk Plaza was so close, we went to eat a proper dinner there.

The best place for sushi in the city. It's always full you need to wait maybe 10 minutes or more. But it worth it. The prises are reasonable and sushi are really nice, tasty, fresh and big portion. They have lots of choices, even if you don't like sushi they have some pasta pizza chicken salads ets. I didn't like tea it was tasteless just like drinking hot water. Even it's not luchery place but good to see friends or even eat alone. The area around is very safe , they have mall nearby, so you can go drink Costa after. Even the bus station is few minutes by walk.

We have tried couple of sushi's and was not that bad and teryaki with rice and was delicious as well the squid fried rings and tempura shrimps with blue mojito
