I wasn't in a rush so I just sat down and went on my phone. Waited about 5 minutes before the owner came out. She was very apologetic and gave me an order of fried rice.
The lady server was friendly. But the food is just a C. My companion’s beef tenderloin noodle soup was far more spicy than expected (he had only asked for “moderately hot” . While that could be subject to interpretation and cultural differences, my Yang Zhou fried rice was certainly neither authentic nor healthy. For starter, the rice was too salty. On top of that they used spam instead of ham or roasted pork. The City of Yang Zhou actually has its own standard of what goes into their famous fried rice. Spam isn’t one of the named ingredients. Maybe I’ll try the cold noodles next time. Maybe they shouldn’t stop calling it “Yang Zhou” fried rice.
Food was really good, very authentic but the price was a little bit on the higher end.Food: 5/5
Such a bad experience!! They have service charge, which does not make any sense as the place was literally stinking like bathroom . Food was not nice, I ordered double pepper fried chicken, which was apparently a curry!!
This place is owned by the same people as ichiban (across the street), and I think this better. As long as you are someone willing to get something more exciting than orange chicken, this is definitely a place to try. You get lots of food and I’ve never been disappointed by it.
