Avaliação da contribuiçãoStopped here after passing and liked the vibe. Food was good enough but not necessarily spectacular. The bitter ballen was really good though. Something different. The service was pretty good, not fast but not slow. I would try other stuff on the menu here.
Beautiful terrace for having a beer, a sandwich, or appetizers. We ordered a steak sandwich and drinks after visiting the Flower Market
The food was very good. The only thing what they do everywhere when you order ravioli. Is giving you so little portions. And this should have been the bigger portion. I could choose between small Or medium size. Well but the taste was good. The salad of mi sister was also very good. The only thing what I missed was bacon with the salad.
I ended up having lunch here after I gave up searching for a different cafe, and was not disappointed. I'm still not used to the concept, but like many cafes in Amsterdam, you seat yourself and a keen eyed waitperson will eventually come round to take your order. For me, it took about 2 minutes not bad at all. I ordered a coffee and the curry shrimp noodles. The latter was amazing! Great flavours and a good ratio of ingredients, it was a dish I'd definitely recommend if you are after something Asian inspired. The coffee was good too a lot of places can mess up steamed non dairy milk quite easily but I had no complaints with mine. The service was prompt and friendly and I liked the general atmosphere of the cafe. It had a chilled vibe and your standard hipster decor (think plants, wood grain and rose gold) without feeling too pretentious. The menu had a decent range of beverages, as well as food offerings from small sandwiches to larger lunch plates. The availability of an English menu was also a plus. I wouldn't hesitate to return!
Service was great, food was good. My wife had the tomato and cheese toasty (grilled cheese for us yanks) and I had the steak chimichurri sandwich (served open face). She also had a side salad and I got some Belgian fries. I also had a Two Chefs Brewing Company Howling Wolf Imperial Porter (of which I'm a fan). All of the food was fresh and delicious. My wife said it was a damned good grilled cheese sandwich. The location off a small canal by the flower market is great too. The inside is large and no waiting for a lunch time table. It was almost sunny enough to sit outside by the canal. We started to but the wind picked up and the as throwing ashtrays off the tables and sending menus off like paper airplanes. All in all a worthy place for a lunch stop.
