You can't take a moment to bring a glass of water to a customer sitting at the bar? I understand it's meant to be a brewery and not a traditional restaurant, but if that's the case, then lean into being a brewery, not a restaurant. There are countless brewery restaurants in Orange County that are far superior to this one, and honestly, many breweries with better beer as well. I would recommend giving this place a pass.
I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday and I absolutely loved the lounge areas! We stayed by the fire pit, which was great for our large group. I tried the Mango Michelada, which was quite good, but I highly recommend the Pineapple Seltzer for a more refreshing and sweeter option. I wouldn't suggest the Al Pastor fries—they only deserve a 3/10 since the marinade was too sour, although the fries themselves were decent. The Carnitas tacos were solid, scoring an 8/10, and they came with three, but I found them a bit overpriced. The Fried Avocado Tacos were also an 8/10; they were tasty and filling. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but we were too hungry, haha! I really appreciated that the place is family-friendly and allows dogs, which made the experience even better.
My husband and I met some friends at Golden Road yesterday before heading to the Angels game, and we were thoroughly impressed. I used to be a server years ago, and we offered Golden Road's beer before they switched brewmasters. I have to say, their beer has significantly improved since Victor took over. Our server, Kyle, was exceptional. Despite having a lot of tables, he was always available when we needed him. He was not only funny and knowledgeable but also nailed every recommendation he made. We ordered the strawberry cart, Big Hazy Wolf, nachos, and the onion patty melt, and everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning, and we’ll be sure to request a table in Kyle’s section next time we're going to an Angels or Ducks game.
Very cool place. Very loud (very, very loud), but cool. Lots of beverage choices, plenty of tv's, and a wide open, warehouse feel. It's a walk in and seat yourself kind of a place. Menus are on QR codes, and a server magically appears to take your order after a few minutes. Vegetarian review: nachos: these can be vegan or vegetarian, and were pretty good. I wish it were heavier on cheese, but that's just me. Guacamole, beans, sour cream, and tomatoes were all good. Beware, the jalapeños are fresh and spicy. classic burger (with an impossible patty). Standard, solid burger. Fries were crispy and addicting. impossible nuggets: it looks like a kids meal, right? The nuggets were perfectly done and were a delightful throwback to an old favorite. Parking: a small parking lot is available, and so is street parking.
Been meaning to try this brewery for awhile and my friends and I had a blast! It was a chilly evening, but we sat outside since they had plenty of heaters at every bench that kept us warm the entire time. We all ordered different beers but they were all so so good, each with their own unique flavor and aroma. They have a jumbo TV playing movies or sports, a corner to play cornhole, and the outside is dog friendly!
