Brasserie Saint-nicolas - Anderlecht

This place was extremely disappointing.. went because of other reviews. It was in a sketchy neighborhood. I ordered mussels that were disgusting— they had no broth, were very dry and salty. Cheap wine. Then the worst happened. Four people sat down less then 2 feet away from us with a very smelly dog. Got our check and left. Would never go back

The staff were quite attentive and the food was very tasty. I had Belgium stew that was delicious and my wife fish and chips which were good. The neighborhood is sketchy with street people asking for money as we dined outside. The cost of the meal including free bread and olives was very reasonable.

The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. Although the food was not exceptional, it was still very good. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back to the restaurant the next day.

We asked for the suggestion on the menu. The waiter said he recommends the duck, but when I said I will order the duck, he said he is out of it. So I ordered the chicken skewer unfortunately, i wasnt able to eat much since most of the pieces were cooked med rare. Their noodle dish with meatball was not bad. Not much choice of wines just 2.
