Applebee's Grill - Ankeny

The food is very good. We appreciate the convenience of curbside pickup! Ordering online is simple, and we especially love the selection of sides and extras. Our family's favorite is the combo platter appetizer. Despite the current high inflation, the prices are reasonable.

Regardless of your opinion on chain restaurants, Applebee's stands out for their ability to serve a satisfying meal late into the night. My friends and I often visit Applebee's after chasing storms each year, as we can always count on getting a tasty and substantial meal late at night, which is much preferable to fast food. No matter which Applebee's location we visit across different states and towns, we always receive the same reliable and friendly service, along with good food. The Applebee's just north of Des Moines was no different in this regard.

This restaurant is a great option for lunch or dinner. The blackened salmon was delicious. It's not your typical spicy or overly salty Louisiana blackened style; it falls more into the "lightly blackened" category. The dish was well-prepared and went perfectly with a side salad dressed in balsamic vinaigrette.

Great food and service! I just have to shut down the air conditioning. it's always so ice cold in my wife doesn't want to stay without a coat for so long. It doesn't have to be 50 degrees in there.

Fixed choice for lunch or dinner. black salmon was very good. this is not louisiana darkened, where its very spicy or sometimes salty depending on hand preparation. I would darken this in a light category. well prepared and paired very nice with a side salad with balsamico
