O My Hot Pot - Annandale

I'd like to post my shocking service experience at this restaurant. In summary, customers should AVOID this place due to poor services, especially that there are many other hot pot options nearby.

Really excited to try this new hot pot spot that was recommended by a friend but left disappointed, disgusted, and sick. The service here is horrible unless you get a table right by the front. My friends and I sat in the back by the window but no server ever came by to check on us. We had to wave down multiple servers through out our meal. One of the meats we ordered never came out. When we finally waved someone over, they informed us they were out of it. If we had not asked, I doubt they would have even cared to tell us. I was also disgusted by the amount of bugs that were in the restaurant. While one of my friends was having his meal, a huge beetle dropped down from the ceiling, hit him on the face, and fell in to the lamb we had just ordered. The bug then burrowed itself under the slabs of raw meat. The waiters were called over and took the plate away but did nothing else about it. Then, a number of flies and smaller bugs circled the rest of our food while we were eating. Another disgusting part was that one of the staff members walked out of the bathroom stall and didn’t wash her hands! I had just come out of mine and was washing up when she did this in front of me. The sauce bar was also super dirty and no one bothered to wipe it. Lastly, after 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant, I started to feel super nauseous and ended up vomiting on the side of the road. I don’t know if this place is under new management but it is not good. Plus the AC was broken and the over atmosphere was just not good.

The atmosphere and music was great. This is my 3rd time here and the food is always good. Our waiter was kind and made sure everything was ok whenever he finished helping another table. Overall if you’ve never had hot pot I would recommend coming here.Food: 5/5

This was my first time ever eating hot pot, definitely will not be my last. I absolutely LOVED everything about it. It was a whole vibe. It's a whole experience like no other.Now being it was my 1st time of course I was clueless about how things worked. It was an Asian younger man that wore glasses that was the host/server. He seemed to have what some might call an attitude. Real bland stale kinda guy. Didn't bother me that much but he explained the menu but stale not in detail. Luckily we got a real sever that was more engaging.That spicy broth is it! I wish I can bathe in that stuff. The stock they refill you with is mehhh but that spicy broth leftover with the refill broth making it still pretty good. Then you're just adding more flavor to your broth with whatever you cook in it. Everything was really good except the seafood. I don't know if it was user error or what but I might just pass on that the next time.Everyone is short staffed these days so I'm not gonna complain about the service it was lowkey crowded. I might just go like early next go around.If you was on the fence like me about eating hot pot don't be, it's so freaking good yo.

The food was delicious and we enjoyed all the different options. Staff was very attentive and everything came out extremely fast. There is a conveyer belt that brings food out or you can order what you want on the iPad at the table. Parking is limited but we got lucky and found a spot right by the restaurant. There is a parking garage close if you aren’t as lucky.
