Por Qué No? Cafe - Antigua Guatemala

First night in Guatemala, so glad we found his place! Everything is so amazing, the staffs were super friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations of Antigua, the interior is very beautiful (and you can write/draw things on the wall), and ofc the food is exceptional, especially the steak burrito, the brownie, and the sangria.

The best food in Antigua. In fact the best food we have had in the last 6 months of travelling. We went there twice (including our last night in Antigua). If we had discovered it earlier on in our trip we would have visited many more times. Extremely good quality of food for a great price. Every single ingredient tastes incredibly fresh. Everything cooked to perfection. The prawns were insanely tender. My boyfriend had the beef on both occasions and asked for it rare. He said it was perfect and the best steak he could remember having for a very long time. Highly recommend!! We can’t wait to come back when we visit Guatemala again. Thank you Por Que No for making such a memorable time!

Amazing little restaurant the service is fantastic, Carolina is so welcoming and a great host. Very fun and cosy atmosphere with good, hearty food at reasonable prices. The steak was a highlight!

Very cute tiny restaurant covered in drawings on the walls. There are only 6 tables up a narrow steep ladder. Downstairs there's a tiny bar and kitchen. Carolina makes you feel at home right away with her genuine kindness. The food is not only beautiful to look at, it is delicious with lots of complexity of flavors and leaves you feeling very satisfied. We had the lomito, camarones cobanero, and our son the margarita pizza. The sangria was also very good, not too sweet and a generous pour. Overall a great evening at a very reasonable price.

This literal hole in the wall will be some of the best food you will have in Antigua. It has a very quirky look and vibe but the food is equivalent to any top tier restaurant! It feels like you’ve walked into New Orleans with a wide variety of food. I love this place and will be back every time we are here!
