Cafe 153 - APOLLO BAY

Went here for breakfast, found a table easily and had a good variety of breakfast options, it was a very busy cafe and May have been under staffed in the kitchen. Our drinks came out very quickly, but it was really slow on the food,...with no apology for the wait. Prices were reasonable. Really 3.5 stars just due to the slow service

First trip to Apollo Bay, we arrived to this cafe' to a rude young staff member who rudely told me it was cash only and when I asked where I could get money out she wasn't helpful at all. We also asked to move tables...as our table along with others had crumbs and dirty coffee cups on them, she rolled her eyes. After spending over $50 for brekky for 2, we walked away hungry as the meals were extremely small. Coffee was quite good but that's about it. I would not waste your time unless its take away coffee.

Family breakfast- something on the menu for everyone. Coffee was good and kids enjoyed the toy box near the couch. Surprised that the adults serve of scrambled eggs was the same size as the kids serve (but $5 dearer)

We enjoyed lunch here twice during our recent stay in Apollo Bay. Especially enjoyed the mussels in Thai inspired coconut broth - delicious! The coffee was good and the dessert lovely (we had the lemon meringue pie). Serving lunch late into the afternoon it was...More
