Au Midi - Aptos

This restaurant was my favorite local French restaurant. It's no longer in Aptos, which makes us very sad. However, I'm reviewing it anyway because it will reopen down in Monterey and will no doubt be equally amazing. The food and service were top notch and we felt transported to France every time we went there. The new restaurant will be larger and have outdoor seating and a full bar. It will also be open for lunch, something that was just not possible in its Aptos location. I look forward to visiting them in Monterey as soon as they're open!

This was arguably the best restaurant in Santa Cruz County. Everyone I know will be making trips to Monterey to eat at the new restaurant. We ate there three times in the past ten days because we knew Michel and Muriel wouldn't be there after October 28. Excellent cuisine, menu choices, service, and ambiance. The new restaurant will be bigger and I believe their fans will multiply quickly.

Absolutely perfect food and service. Sorry to see them leave Aptos but we wish them well in Monterey.

Excellent meal, authentic fresh cuisine , friendly staff, good wine

I took my wife there for her birthday. She is a foodie and we were both extremely pleased with our meals. The husband and wife owners are French and it shows in everything they do. We were, however, saddened when we heard that they are closing their current location to re-open in Monterey.
