Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe stayed 2 nights in the hotel and appreciated the hotel, grounds, staff and food. The breakfasts are wonderful and at lunchtime and in the evenings there’s plenty of good value choice of veggie or meat dishes. I had the veggie curry which was delicious. Because there are only around 6-8 rooms and they are just behind the cafe on the same level, I could get up, throw on a jumper, and take a coffee back to bed from 7am onwards (included as breakfast so no extra charge). Bliss...
We enjoyed visiting Wunderbar, the wood fire place in winter, the Thai soup and Flammkuchen. Our then 1 year old daughter loved the books and the spacious unfussy interior, until we were told that buggies (and kids?? are no longer welcome in Wunderbar.
The location of the restaurant is worth going there for a beer, but I wouldn’t recommend eating there. First of all it is self service with an incredibly long line, and the wait staff pretentiously ignoring customers. My girlfriend and I ordered the Flammkuchen italian style, and it tasted only of olives. It was far too crispy and overpriced at 14CHF for a large. When I went back in to get a second beer, I ended up standing around for 15 minutes unable to get the attention of any of the waitstaff. I decided to leave and go to another restaurant, where we received better service and fair prices.
Nice, cozy and a bit eccentric place. Very kind service people. Simple food good for brunch or light dinner. Wines from the region available. Price wise acceptable however this is Swisss level.
We went here and found a gem of a place. Lots of choice of food and drink. Some beers were brewed on site Staff very helpful especially as they were not used to English visitors Loos are very interesting in a positive way Nice eating areas inside and out with a view across the lake
