The Market Place - Asheville

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here at The Market Place and we cannot describe enough how wonderful and accommodating they were for us! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the upper floor deck area is absolutely remarkable and ideal for celebratory dinners such as what we had. Fantastic experience and the food was incredible for all 3 portions served. Speaking with management/owners was prompt and they seem very kind! Overall would highly recommend for larger groups or a simple night out for a nice dinner in a wonderful atmosphere, especially if you're looking for a casual but leaning on the finer side of dining. Can't thank them enough!

Came for dinner on a Saturday night. Really enjoyed our appetizers the cheese board was balanced and thoughtful. The brussels sprouts were bangin'. I really enjoyed my entree such a treat to order a vegetarian dish that isn't just an afterthought; the squash rosette was delicious, highly recommend. Service: Dine in

STAY FAR AWAY!!! It is a chef owner situation which allows for him to serve overpriced tasteless steak that made my wife physically ill. Proof is in the pudding...look how they don't respond to bad reviews. You can throw a stone in AVL and find a better spot...like a soup kitchen. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This place has really gone downhill. The server encouraged me to get a side of brocollini that was yellow and brown. Yes, they served rotten produce. Not cool for a dinner at any price, but seriously, for an expensive dinner this is an affront! I told the server it was inedible and she did take it off the bill, but if I was a chef I would personally apologize.

Wow, what a great experience! Our server was so helpful with wine selection and very attentive in general. I ordered the Fresh Catch (Red Snapper) and my wife ordered the Summer greens cavatelli. The fish was very fresh, her pasta was tasty with the right texture, and our sides were just right. Both dishes were excellent the entire evening was memorable. Looking forward to our next visit.
