Avaliação da contribuiçãoCute bakery in Asheville, NC. Fairly busy on a Sunday, decent assortment of yummies, and customer service was good. Got a chocolate chip cookie, baklava, and crème brûlée. The cookie didn't have much flavor, very basic. The baklava was heavily spiced with cinnamon/cloves, which wasn't expected. The crème brûlée was a great portion but just a little on the very sweet side. Would go back for lunch and a chocolate pot de crème.
I always enjoy visiting the Biltmore, as the service and quality are consistently amazing. In fact, my family has been passholders for several years. This time, I brought my niece with me and we dined at the Village Social, which was a new experience for me. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. My niece ordered Mac n Cheese and a fruit cup, which turned out to be canned mandarin oranges and a few green grapes. The macaroni was simply Kraft mac and cheese, complete with the powdery clumps that are impossible to fully mix in. It's disappointing to see such a lack of effort put into kids' meals, as children have sophisticated tastes too. Parents also don't appreciate paying for subpar meals for their kids.
The pastries and cakes at this restaurant are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying the éclair, it was the best I've ever had. The carrot cake was also delicious. Although they forgot my coffee and put too much nutmeg in it when it finally arrived 30 minutes later, the pastries are definitely the main draw here. I would recommend giving this place a try if you are in town.
Husband says: “Let the free hotel breakfast skip and find something decent!” this time I acknowledge that I have resorted to google maps to find somewhere close. good bred cafe is an absolute shade to find! the wounds, when we went through the door, said everything! such a large selection of delicious bakery goods had advised us a dae, there are also menu choices of breakfast and lunch. we've ever been on a cheese biscuit. what a good choice and a selection of coffee and milk and creams also. perfect
This place was very cute! Also, there is parking behind the building. Which is very helpful in Biltmore Village. The restaurant is inside an old house and it feels very cozy. The service was quick, and food also came out quickly. I originally ordered the bacon cheddar quiche, but they had run out. Luckily the smoked gouda tomato was delicious! We will be back next time we're in Biltmore village!
