Osteria Mena - Astano

Charming little patio, good welcome with a smile, good pizza (try pizza carbonara.) prices are affordable (see photos of the maps.) bravo for your good restaurant!

Before the night, we flirted through the old village of astano and were on the osteria mena. cesare greeted us friendly and imagined. soon soon a fire in the fireplace burned and we enjoyed in a cozy atmosphere red wine and the delicious, from the house offer, warm snacks.

Suggestive tavern with tables in the inner court, balatoio and small hall. nice welcome, family and caring. with prosecco, a little sweet for my goi) two sweet croutons of tomatoes and oregano. is the period of the risotto review with an impressive and intriguing choice. we choose two (speck, ricotta and saffron and blueberries.) the wine card is short. in the reds, some merlots of big producers and none of the malcanton. prices range from 38 to double. Unfortunately the two less expensive Merlots were finished. I'm offered a Umbrian red or a moraine at the same price (unjustified I find.) as I didn't spend 70/80 fr for a merlot gialdi or brivido, I choose a chianti radda to 38. I find that this phase has been at the edge of the slope. the girl, for her own admission, was not a wine practice and she repeatedly proposed bottles that "they tell me it is good.) I found the prices too high and frustrating the absence of some wines in a paper already limited in itself. first we ask for a starter for two (coated and cheeses to fr 22 on the card if I remember well.) the appetizer arrives and, given the really abundant quantity, I ask confirmation that it is one portion and is confirmed. a plate of mixed cheeses and one of sliced, all of quality. risottos are beautiful to see and very good. the abundant portion. for dessert we take a carpaccio of pineapple to the grand marnier as well excellent. All in all satisfied, I ask the account is on the receipt I see two appetizers at 18 fr. I ask lumi but I'm confirmed by the girl that in total there is only one. I don't insist and trust and pay 136 fr. doing the review and the appetizers are two. Just say it now! We ate well, but I don't think we'll be back.

We were not able to eat in the cosy courtyard because it rained in streams and had to take advantage of the cosy dining room. Super eating, freshly cooked and beautifully prepared. the dessert was dreamy and very beautifully dressed.
