Pachanga Patterson - Astoria

I love, love, love this place!! I'm so often gone, I think I had almost everything on their regular menu. The mule is rich, tasteful and reminds me of the mother. Great place for a home cooked type of meal, but also great for tacos. Try the Poblano and Maistacos with Crema! Start with chips and salsa and a La Pachanga Margarita with hibiscus syrup.

Hands down the best guacamole in Astoria, the food is great no matter what you order...

Excellent and authentic cuisine and great service. Cocktails were great and creative. The menu rotates regularly. A charming and entertaining atmosphere. Very recommend the Guacamole, Mais Street, Taco and more. Great place for just a cocktail or a group meal. Easy to see from the street. There are bar seats, high peaks and regular table seats.

Bartenders and owner are really nice. Cute quaint and hip atmosphere with backdoor seating. They have happy hour which I missed. Tried their steak tacos with pineapples which were great, I'm not a big eater but 3 left me satisfied.

It is very rare to find the level of Mexican authenticity you find here. Astoria stays with the juice. My wife and I got 2 drinks, nachos appetizer, shrimp tacos w/ rice n beans and pernil flautas. My Flautas De Pernil was super tasteful and delicate pernil rolled in crispy tortillas with chile de arbol mayo, guacamole, radish, queso fresco. Excellent court. Well plated. Even delicious when I heated 2 of the frogs at midnight. Wife said the tacos were amazing, but didn't taste as good as my frogs when she had the one she saved the next day at work. Great sleepers: rice and beans were the side dish that sold me. Once I had 1 bite, I could say that this food was made with love or by someone Abuela. I have the Hibiscus margaritas as drinks. They were strong and tasty. I'm not asking for anything. The Modelo i came next with a beautiful glass. Classic joint.
