I am posting an updated review. The owner Shaun reached out a while ago, expressed his apologies for the bad service, and offered to make it up to us on our next trip. We decided to give them another try and are very pleased to say it was an enjoyable meal. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, making sure we were happy with our dinner. I had the spaghetti, my partner had the pizza buffet. She absolutely loves their buffet as they stock it with items she likes most (Hawaiian), not just pepperoni or something easy. We will most definitely continue eating here again.

I brought my family here tonight after the Gday game because I remembered how yummy the pizza was when I was a student visiting with Mama Sid's daughter. The pizza was even better than I remembered! My husband was surprised to learn that his favorite tonight was a pizza on the buffet that he thought was chicken and parmesan cheese, but the staff told him it was feta. He hates feta cheese, but loved this pizza. The kitchen and the only server worked miracles to feed a full restaurant with a buffet that had many different pizzas to sample. They deserve a five star rating just for pulling off the impossible where many restaurants nowadays wouldn't have cared about the customers and would have just closed for the night. We will definitely be back and I won't wait 30+ years to return.

Super impressed with Mama Sid's signature pizza. Best pizza I've found in Athens. I'll give it a 8.2. Very good.

First class all around. BYOB at no charge AND provided frosted glasses. Asked what kind of pizzas we wanted for the buffet bar. Private booths, strong enough to withstand a tornado. Great to go with a group. 1980s UGA Football time capsule.

I am from New York so I'm very picky about my pizza and they are my favorite pizza place to go to. The couple who owns the restaurant are so nice and welcoming.
