Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe ambience was super sweet. I love the beautiful flowers and decor. You also have a terrace that is sweet. My food was delicious. We had the Birria Tacos and my husband loved his chicken quesadillas. The basil gimlet was so refreshing. And our charos were super delicious. This is definitely one of our new Favs.
There's a long list that didn't go well. We sat at the bar and had first taken care of a bartender. But then she was busy and we had no one. We sat at a table in the main restaurant and the service was good. But then the food wasn't. Two meals with steak where we asked for average rate, and it was rare (always still cool to touch outside), and had to go back. But at the top of the temptation they were super salty. And the others at our table who had the birria tacos thought they were really embarrassing. All said would not recommend, good not back
This was our 2nd visit to Chido Padre 's, this time, for our 20-year anniversary since Open Table offered 1,000 points. At no time, someone wished us a Happy Anniversary. Reilly P. our server was very nice. We started with the La Petite Perriere, Sauvignon Blanc from France, which we like more than the Grapefruit Sauvignon Blanc, which comes from New Zealand. We shared the Octopus Tostados as an appetizer. The heat/pickiness exaggerated the taste of the octopus. Reilly warned us about the bite, but it didn't seem so sharp when we visited last time. Unfortunately, the red Snapper restaurant I ordered was so I got the chicken enchiladas back. I was full, so I only ate half of the Enchiladas and took the rest home. My husband got the carne asada that he said it was too salty. We were too full for Dessert. My husband said he wouldn't recommend Chido and Padre to a friend, but I think her menu is interesting if she would lower the heat.
The server has rarely checked with us, so it took a while to order our food. It also took a while to get our food. The food was okay not to write home. We have starters of chips with guac, queso and salsa. Entrees were the Birrie and Carne asada tacos. On Tuesday they give free Tequila shots. The mood was really cute, but I wouldn't be eating again.
I went here a couple of weeks ago and the food was great and the Cilantro rice was the best rice I ever had. I went last night and the rice was terrible, I asked the waitress about it and she said that new management and the new chef changed the recipe and I am extremely disappointed as it was essentially white rice with some Cilantro sprinkled on it.
