Enlightened Café - Atlantic City

This place is fantastic! I had my first ever açaí bowl and it far exceeded my expectations. Great service and a beautiful interior, where I participated in a zoom call for a while. I really appreciate the cafe’s cause as well, and am glad to have found this gem down the shore.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. I ordered the goat cheese, egg white omelette. It was ok. I could have used a little more flavor. It wasn't bad though. I ordered the spinach quiche to go. It was delicious.

I’ve been in town for a few days from California and I can’t believe this place is in Ventnor. I’m so glad! I grew up on this island and didn’t leave until seven years ago, so my friends and family are here and it’s a blessing that they have high quality, healthy organic food to eat! I decided to try the happiness bowl despite the negative review. Let me tell you, I was feeling pretty happy! Perhaps the woman who wrote the negative review about the happiness bowl is an individual who is just overall unhappy. It’s good. It’s all good. Yes, it’s a bit expensive, but organic food on the island is worth every penny. Not to mention that every single item on the menu is Organic-down to the condiments. And even more importantly, look at where the money is going! I’ve tried several items on the menu. Not one complaint. It would be wonderful if they switched from the plastic serving cups to ceramic ramekins. The to-go boxes are paper. Vote with you dollars people. We want to see more of this. Thank you!!

This place isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t matter- five stars were earned through integrity and a progressive approach. Enlightened café is a gem in South Jersey. Light in the darkness! There is a huge void-an abundance of low quality food, and shortage of high quality food. This café is filling that void and it’s a blessing! The non-profit model is an incredible concept. I pray that they survive in this location, because South Jersey needs this place! The food is delicious. It’s high quality, conscious food. The cleaning supplies are even considered (they’re natural/non-toxic)! The owner really has high integrity, without a shadow of a doubt. The prices may be high for South Jersey (California organic prices), and it’s for good reason. It’s worth it. Profits go to those struggling with addiction and ready for recovery. Thank you for this place!

We stopped by to get iced coffee and yoga. Our yoga class was in a nice spacious studio. They had plenty of mats and props available. We really liked our gentle yoga class. Our teacher was very good. After yoga we grabbed iced coffee with almond milk. Coffee was strong and delicious. They have plenty of tables and it’s very nicely decorated. We plan to try the food next time.
